Spend a day exploring the spectacular views of Phillip Island while getting up close to local wildlife in both a wildlife park and in their natural habitat. The highlight of this Phillip Island day trip from Melbourne is the Penguin Parade where you can watch the little penguins come ashore after the sun sets.After pickup from your accommodation the central Melbourne or St Kilda, journey out through the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne to the small country town of Tooradin for lunch.

Continue above the top of Westernport Bay and stop at Maru Koala and Wildlife Park. Here you will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with Australian wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, emus, dingos, wombats and of course, koalas. You’ll also have the option to have a your photo taken with a koala (not included, payable direct).

From here it is a short drive to Phillip Island where you’ll stop at Panny's Chocolates to sample some of their chocolate goodness (factory tours at own expense), take in the spectacular views of Cape Woolamai and Woolamai Beach. You’ll also see the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit and the ancient remains of volcanos known as The Nobbies.

It's then time to travel along the coastline spotting wallabies in the wild on the way to the Phillip Island Penguin Parade. Here settle yourself into the little penguin’s environment as you watch them come ashore for the night, waddling next to and underneath the boardwalks.
