You will visit our local market, discover many traditional Peruvian food ingredients, and learn some secrets of its rich flavor.
We start the morning at your hotel and we will go to the local food market in San Pedro, which operates every day of the week with a variety of delicious items: cheeses, breads (huge oropesa) that are bigger than a head, tropical fruits and vegetables, herbs and spices, fresh coca leaves and also some other unique products.
In the market of San Pedro, passengers will receive a briefing from our chef on local ingredients (yellow pepper, quinoa, variety of potatoes, mushrooms, aguaymanto, etc.) and will also have the opportunity to buy and negotiate prices with local suppliers. Our chef will then invite us to his house where his apron awaits him to start the cooking lesson, which will begin with the development of the most famous drink of Peru; the rich and delicious, Pisco Sour. The chef will continue to prepare with you the first and second courses of a meal and a rich Peruvian dessert.
