From there, along with your guide, you will head East on the Andres Bello bike path. Once the tour reaches the Metropolitan Park, the itinerary will be as follows;
We'll first ride through Parque de las Esculturas. Also known as the Sculpture Garden, this place is an open-air museum located on Avenida Pedro de Valdivia, just before the entrance of the Park. We'll then have a programmed stop at the Japanese Garden. An oasis within the park, the Japanese Garden is home to cherry trees, lotus flowers and breathtaking designs.
We'll continue on to Plaza Antilen, a plaza and rest stop with beautiful views and open green spaces. Then, we'll ride through Tupahue Pool which was originally a quarry at the midway point and now it is one of two public swimming pools in the park.
Our bike tour will then take us to Casa de Cultura Anahuac (Anahuac Cultural Center). This place is known for the beautiful architecture by Carlos Martner and the many civic events taking place there. After a stop here, we are off to the Sanctuary of the Immaculate Conception or Santuario de la Inmaculada Concepcion. This is one of the most visited places in Santiago providing incredible views of the city.
We will work our way back to the starting point, stopping at multiple viewpoints on the way.
Note: (Programmed stops are typically 15-30 minutes long. Participants must remain with their bikes at all times except at programmed stops.)
