Paragliding in Vík í Mýrdal on the South Coast of Iceland, with astounding views! Glaciers, Black sand beaches, vibrant green moss spreads and blue waters as far as the eye can see. This is the landscape of Game of Thrones and it's even more spectacular from above.
Paragliding is the simplest and purest form of flying available to man. As a tandem passenger you need no prior knowledge, simply join the expert Paragliding Tandem Instructors and experience the world from a new and exciting perspective. Once the Paraglider is inflated and safety checks are done, together with your pilot you take a few steps down a slope until you are walking on air! The Paraglider has no motor and uses the flowing air to glide above the ground with the other birds. Be prepared to have your mind blown!

We meet you on location and the tour starts with an adventurous 4x4 drive up a rugged off-road mountain track. On take-off we assess the conditions and give you a thorough safety briefing. We strap you in the safety gear and your pilot prepares the Paraglider for flight. While the pilot pulls the Paraglider overhead, all you have to do is stay on your feet. With the Paraglider already in flight above you, together with your pilot you run down the slope until you are running on air. The Paraglider lifts you both up and you are flying! Your tandem instructor pilot will help you lean back into your harness where you will sit comfortably throughout the flight. There you can relax and enjoy the pure feeling of freedom, the sights and this new dimension in your life. Your pilot will safely control the glider, soaring along the cliffs in search for rising air to gain even more height.

By choice, you can have supervised control of the Paraglider and learn the basics of free flight. If you wish, your pilot can make some extra in-air adrenaline moves!

Total time: Approximately 2 hours including the the transport to take-off and back to the meeting point.
Flying time: Depending on conditions, we aim for 10-20 minutes.
Photography: You can bring your camera at your own risk, or get the files from our GoPro's for a nominal fee.
Safety: Our number one safety rule is not to fly if conditions aren't good. In case of a cancel you have a choice to re-schedule, choose another aerial tour or a full refund.
Clothing: Wear outdoors clothing according to weather and good sturdy shoes.
