Some of the kayaks also have a center seat to accommodate children ages 6 – 8.
After instruction in sea kayaking from the fun and friendly guides, kayakers glide quietly along the rain forest shoreline that is home to many birds and a colorful array of inter-tidal life. Guides share the history ecology of the area as paddlers explore salmon streams, rocky islands and sheltered coves. Bald eagles nest in the old growth forest above and paddlers may see humpback whales, orcas, porpoises, harbor seals, Stellar’s sea lions, mink, deer or black bears along the way.
