Open Water Course in Marsa Alam

Learn to dive in beautiful Marsa Alam and experience the magical underwater world of the Red Sea. The Open Water course is a fantastic way to achieve an internationally recognised scuba diving qualification, qualifying you to dive independently with a dive buddy to 18 metres.The duration of the course is three to four days as each individual learns at a different pace and that some skills and techniques may take a little more practice to reach a comfortable and confident level. With your instructor you will complete:

• Five knowledge development sessions in a classroom to learn the basic principles of scuba diving.
• Five confined water training sessions to learn basic scuba skills.
• Water skills including a 200 metre swim and a 10 minute float.
• Four open water training dives to review the skills you have learnt and explore the Red Sea!
• Confined dives will be from the pool/shore, Open water dives from the boat/shore depending on sea conditions.

You will need to fill in a PADI Medical Form prior to starting the course. If you answer ‘yes’ to any of the questions you will need a doctor’s certification stating that you are fit to dive with this condition, valid within one year.
