Shapotou Scenic Area is one of the first Chinese national desert ecology reservation area with Shapo Bell, one of the three "singing" sand dunes in China, located in Shapotou where is known as “Sand Capital."At 8am, your guide will pick you up at the lobby of your downtown Yinchuan hotel for a 3.5 hours ride to Zhongwei, a city near Shapotou Scenic Area where you will take a break for lunch before heading to Shapotou Scenic Area. After lunch, take another 1 hour car ride to visit your destination of the day, Shapotou Scenic Area which is a national desert ecology reservation. Shapotou, known as “Sand Capital” and also home to Shapo Bells which is one of the three "singing" sand dunes in China, is located approximately 116 miles (187 kilometers) away from Yinchuan. It incorporates grand desert, the Yellow River, mountains, and oasis of magnificent landscapes of northern China.
