Airport assistance and transfer to the hotel, Free time at leisure. 3.30pm Departure with your guide for the city tour: Bait al Zubair museum, Al Alam Palace, Portuguese forts Mirani & Jalali. and Muttrah Souq, time for shopping. Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: - Muscat/Nakhal/Nizwa
8.00am Departure. Visit to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. After the visit start an exciting 4 wheel drive journey through the magnificent Hajjar Mountains. Nakhal: visit to the fort, After lunch, we drive through Wadi Bani Awf crossing the Hajjr Mountains, we start our descent to Al Hamra village, a 400-year-old town in the region Ad Dakhiliyah. Some of the oldest preserved houses in Oman can be found in Al Hamra, a town built on a tilted rock slab. Many of the houses have two stories, with ceilings made of palm beams and fronds topped by mud and straw.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Nizwa/Wahiba Sands
8.00am After breakfast, departure from the hotel for Nizwa, visit of the Fort, traditional Souq and Falaj Daris (world Heritage Site). After the visit proceed to Al Hoota Cave, please note that cameras and video cameras are not allowed inside the cave. Lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch proceed to Wahiba Sands. After the check-in at the camp, you can enjoy the sun setting over the dunes. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 4: Wahiba Sands/Wadi Bani Khalid/Sur
8.30am After breakfast, leave the camp for an amazing experience, driving deep inside the Wahiba desert and bashing the highest dunes, with skilled drivers. After that, leave the desert and proceed to Wadi Bani Khalid. There you can swim in the crystalline water or have a short trekking up to the cave. (Technical shoes required). Lunch at the small kiosk, with a wonderful view of the Wadi. After lunch, continue your journey to Sur, visit of the traditional dhow factory and the ancient district of Al Ayjah. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Sur/Muscat
Wadi Tiwi, we proceed to Wadi Shab. Lunch at Wadi Shab Resort, where you can also swim in the wonderful blue water of Arabian Sea, photo-stop at the ancient city of Qalhat (UNESCO world heritage).On our way back we will stop at Bimah Sink Hole: is located in the fenced and toilet-equipped Hawiyat Najm Park. Check-in at the hotel and fancy dinner. Overnight.
Day 6: Muscat
Transfer to the airport.
