Make your way to Dong Khoi Street and head inside the Saigon Opera House to take your seat (depending on your selection). Marvel at this French Colonial architectural gem — also known as the Municipal Theatre of Ho Chi Minh City — completed in 1898 and restored in 1998.
Help yourself to complimentary beverage in the lobby before you sit back and enjoy the 1-hour performance of the A O Show. Director Tuan Le, who has worked with Cirque du Soleil, has enlisted the help of expat Vietnamese artists to bring this show to life with an energetic mix of dance and acrobatics. Larger-than-life props, such as bamboo poles and giant woven baskets (aka boats), transport performers across the stage.
Watch this talented cast take a journey through rural and urban Vietnam via a series of theatrical sketches that incorporate movement and melodic music. The song lyrics are in Vietnamese, enhancing the scenes of everyday life and igniting the imagination.
The visual effects, exuberant energy and stunning choreography create a feast for the senses — and it's entertaining for all ages!
