Norwegian Star Kochi Shore Excursion: Backwater Houseboat Tour and Fort Kochi

Your Norwegian Star cruise docks in Kochi where you spend your time cruising the backwaters of Alleppey, also known as Alappuzha. Discover the famous inland waterways of Kerala onboard a houseboat, see traditional villages and backwater boats and explore the Fort Kochi Chinese nets, Dhobi Khana, St. Francis Church and more.You will be picked up from Kochi Port at approximately 9:00am and be transferred to Alleppey for approximately 1.45 hours to board your houseboat by 10:45am. Cruise slowly through the backwaters and village areas to marvel at the lush vegetation, paddy fields, coconut palms and more. There will be 3 staff members along with your guide to look after you and make sure your experience is as relaxed as you could wish for.

Enjoy a traditional Keralan cuisine lunch with rice, vegetable dishes, fish, chicken and more as you gently cruise. The houseboat cruise will finish at approximately 1:30pm. After, transfer to Fort Kochi to visit the Chinese nets, Dhobi Khana, St. Francis Church and more. When the tour ends, you will be dropped off at Kochi Port at approximately 5:00pm to return to your cruise.

(Note: March 14th, 2017 tour will finish by 16:00 at Fort Cochin. Only Chinese nets will be visited)
