Northern Lights and Glacier Hiking Day Trip from Reykjavik

We have combined two of the Iceland highlights together in one trip, Northern lights and glacier hiking. Truly an experience that combines the most popular trip in Iceland, glacier hiking during the day and a northern lights tour in the evening. In between the activities, we stop by at the majestic Skógar waterfall for a traditional two-course dinner at the local restaurant.We pick you up at 12:00 at your hotel, please note that it can take about 15 minutes to pick everyone up. We drive along the magnificent south coast for about 2 hours, making one stop mid way where you can buy snacks and use rest-rooms. We arrive at the Sólheimajökull parkinglot where we gear up and start the hike to the glacier. An exciting and informative hiking through the glacier, exploring crevasses, swell holes and enjoying the real Icelandic nature. After about 1,5 hours on the ice we make our way back to the vehicle. From there we have a 15min drive to Skógarfoss where we will have a traditional two course meal with a magnificent view of the waterfall from the restaurant. After a warming meal we will spend the rest of the evening hunting down the spectacles of the northern lights as we make our way back to Reykjavík. Expect to be back at your hotel no later than midnight.
