Visiting selected boutiques and tasting selected wine deep in the Northern mountains of Israel. Our wine tours specialize on visiting boutique wineries around Israel and tasting their unique wines. Each of the wineries we visit during the tour has its own style of wines and its own attitude to the winemaking. Visits to the wineries are hosted by winery owners and winemakers, who will always be happy to share their achievements, as well as their dreams, while you taste the wines. We conduct our tours at all wine areas around the country. Visiting a specific winery at each chosen area depends on a season.
Our tours are full day tours, during which we shall visit three different wineries at an area, will listen to the winery' owners or employees stories, and, most important, will taste their wines.
You surely can choose from standard or customized wine tours, and we can also arrange a visit to a winery of your own choice, if you have one, or more. Moreover, during a tour, other extra options like dairies, chocolatiers, or breweries, might be visited upon your advanced request.
There are now well over 300 wineries in Israel – from those producing millions of bottles yearly, to the boutiques making just few thousand.
Rich history of local wines can be traced back to 3000 BC, while the first contemporary wineries reappeared only in mid-19th century in Jerusalem, where small wineries started producing sacramental wine. However the most recent phenomena have only started in the 1990s. Exports of Israeli wines continue steadily growing year after year. It is a vibrant and highly successful industry with a variety and quality that will surprise those who have not visited Israel recently.
Each one of Israel’s wine growing regions awaits your exploration and looks forward to sharing its unique wines with you.
NORTHERN ISRAEL
The high mountains of the Galilee and volcanic elevations of the Golan Heights are rich with volcanic soil, and are ideal for wine making because of their hot summers and snowy winters.
