Discover the capital of Cyprus through the ages, its history, culture and heritage. The largest commercial center of the island and the seat of the Cyprus government.See the Venetian Walls,the Green Line and visit St.John's Cathedral and Lefkara village famous for it's silver craft and Cyprus lace.Once the pick up's have been completed you will head toward Nicosia making a convenience stop at the old Skarinou station between Limassol and Nicosia for a complimentary coffee and a local snack. There you will be able to see traditional production machines, such as an olive press, wine press, distillation apparatus, etc.
The next stop is Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, whose historic past combines brilliantly with the bustle of a modern city. You will pass by the Presidential Palace, the House of Representatives, the Venetian Walls and the ‘Green Line’ before heading to St John’s Cathedral. After visiting the Cathedral, you will proceed on foot through the narrow streets of the old quarter with its restored buildings to the city centre, passing by the house of Hadjigeorgaki Kornesiou, Omeriye Mosque, Faneromeni Church and arrive at Ledra Street. There you will have plenty of free time
for lunch, shopping and sightseeing.
On the way back to Paphos you will stop to visit the picturesque Pano Lefkara village, famous for its silver craft and home of the traditional Cyprus lace, ‘Lefkaritiko’, which is renowned throughout Europe and beyond.
