Visit; Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, The National Museum at Al Khuwair, Fish Market on the Corniche, Bait Zubair Museum, Royal Al Alam Palace, 16th Century forts of Jalali and Mirani (photo stops) and Muttrah Souq.Depart from your hotel and proceed to grand mosque (ladies have to cover their head with scarf and full sleeve covering their shoulders). You will then be taken to the national museum at al Khuwair.

There after proceed to the busting fish market on the Corniche, which sweeps the entire edge of muscat bay. Visit Bait Zubair Museum, which has a vast collection of artefacts that gives an overview of Oman’s rich heritage and history. Then travel to the magnificent al Bustan Palace hotel, observing the dark igneous ophiolite rocks along the way. This 7 star, luxury hotel is a truly remarkable structure, six of it’s palace suites located on the top floor is known to house royal guests.

Carry on driving uphill through meandering roads appreciating the beautiful limestone scenery and the pristine blue lagoons through to Bandar al Jizza resort, Shangri la Hotel.

After lunch, proceed to the Royal al Alam Palace flanked by the 16th century forts of jalali and mirani (photo stops). Visit the famous muttrah souq, an old world souq with charm and choice.
