Munich Day Trip from Frankfurt: (8 hours)
After leaving Frankfurt, travel by air-conditioned coach to Germany’s gorgeous Bavaria region, about 245 miles (395 km) south. Your first stop is Munich, the capital city of the area. On arrival, hop aboard a double-decker bus for a sightseeing tour of central Munich and its top sights. Look out for the Cathedral of Our Blessed Lady (Frauenkirche) and the Old Town Hall at Munich's most popular public square, Marienplatz. Continue to Hofbräuhaus am Platzl, the world's largest beer hall!
Admire the English Garden, visit Baroque-era Nymphenburg Palace, learn about the German Museum and New and Old Pinakothek, and drive by the impressive Olympic Park, home to the 1972 Summer Olympics and the futuristic BMW World. Then, enjoy some free time to shop, sightsee and perhaps enjoy a typical Bavarian beer and bratwurst — the staple Munich meal! In the afternoon, meet back up with your guide and reboard the coach to travel to Nuremberg.
Nuremberg Day Trip: (6 hours)
After roughly two hours on the road, be greeted by Nuremberg’s distinctive red-roofed buildings that stretch out around the Imperial castle. Hop out for a walking tour of the picturesque Old Town and Castle Quarter, and admire a slew of half-timbered houses as well as the original city walls. As you walk, learn about the complex history of Nuremburg, from its fame as a medieval trading center to its controversial role during the Nazi trials in the aftermath of WWII.
Time permitting, you may also have chance to visit the Germanic National Museum or Nuremberg Castle independently.
After a full day of Bavarian sightseeing, relax on the journey back to the start point in Frankfurt where your Super Saver ends.
