What is a Big Sierra Skies Road Tour? It is an adventure where you head out on a Vintage VW convoy to explore the amazing Eastern Sierra Nevada's and Owens Valley. The goal is to experience locations that most would not typically take the time to find. This is sure to be a magical trip, hopefully far beyond every expectation. Each star-filled night, the group will camp in various areas; each a slice of heaven on earth.

Each star-filled night, the group will camp in various areas; each a slice of heaven on earth.
Day 1: To Lone Pine
Begin the epic road trip in a classic VW to head to your destination, the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Mt. Whitney. There, you will stop at the Fossils Falls scenic area and enjoy a gourmet camp dinner by our personnel chef. Camp out in a classic VW Westfalia.
Day 2: Explore Greater Lone Pine after enjoying a delicious breakfast by our personnel chef. Afterwards, explore the Alabama Hills/Movie locations. See Horseshoe Meadows, Cerro Gordo Silver Mine, Manzanar Interment Monument, and much more! End the day with a relaxing evening and drinks around the campfire
Day 3: To Eureka Sand Dunes
Gobble up massive pancakes the size of Mt. Whitney at the Whitney Portal Store. Next, hike the 700 ft majestic sand dunes at Eureka Sand Dunes. After your journey chow down on a delicious dinner and gaze at the wondrous stars.
Day 4: To The Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest
View the oldest trees in the world, some over 4,000 years old! Enjoy a scenic drive through Westgard Pass State Route 168 before participating in a self guided hike through the Bristlecone Pine Forest. This night will end with high altitude (8,560 ft) camping in your snug Vdub
Day 5: To Benton Hot Springs
First, make a stop for BBQ at the #1 best restaurant in America. Once your belly is full, take a side trip to The Owens Valley Radio Observatory and Laws Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum. Complete the journey with a soak in your personal hot spring tub at Benton Hot Springs.
Day 6: To Mammoth
Start the day with drive a long the scenic highway 129 to Mono Lake. Take in the fall colors on June Lake Loop, Obsidian Dome, Mammoth Earthquake fault. Bask in soft warm beds and a shower in a cozy cabin in Mammoth after having dinner by our personal chef.
Day 7: To Red Rock Canyon
After eating a hearty breakfast, take some time to do some souvenir shopping in Bishop. Once done, enjoy a picnic lunch in Olancha. Celebrate the epic journey with a roaring fire along the towering walls of Red Rock Canyon
Day 8: To Costa Mesa
Begin the journey back to Costa Mesa. At the end of the journey, partake in a fair well toast
