Escape Tokyo for a day of admiring some of Japan’s most scenic sights on this 10-hour tour with a guide. You’ll visit Odawara Castle, take a relaxing Lake Ashi cruise on a replica Hakone pirate ship and drive up Mt Fuji, Japan’s tallest peak and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy great photo ops of this iconic snowcapped mountain, and fill up on a buffet lunch including unlimited crab. You’ll also have the chance to do a little shopping with a souvenir bag that’s yours to keep.Your day trip to Mt Fuji begins with pickup in Tokyo by coach, which is equipped with provided Wi-Fi, so you can share photos of your tour with friends and family as you go. During the approximate 50-mile (80-km) drive southwest of Tokyo to your first stop, listen to narration from your guide about what you can expect from your tour. While you're on the coach throughout the day, your guide will host two fun games that just might win you a souvenir, Japanese snack or other prize.

When you reach Odawara Castle, which dates back to the mid-1400s and has been rebuilt a few times, you have 40 to 50 minutes of free time to explore the castle grounds and park. Then head to the nearby Minoya Kichibei restaurant for an all-you-can-eat crab buffet lunch, which will last about one hour; other Japanese, Chinese and Western-style dishes are also available. You can also use this time to do some souvenir shopping, if you like.

After lunch and shopping, you’ll be driven to Hakone for a 30-minute Lake Ashi cruise on a replica pirate ship. While you glide across the crater lake, admire views of Mt Fuji, Japan’s highest mountain with an elevation of about 12,300 feet (3,770 meters). Then return to your coach for the drive up the mountain to the 5th Station, located at 7,545 feet (2,300 meters). See the shrines and souvenir shops, and admire surrounding lakes in the distance, provided the weather is clear. You have about 40 minutes to stroll around here, taking photos and soaking in the panoramic views; you may even see some climbers getting ready to start their ascent up the mountain.

Your day trip ends with the drive back to Tokyo for drop-off.

Please note: Views of and around Mt Fuji are always subject to weather conditions, as the region's weather is notoriously unpredictable. Visibility tends to be better during the colder months, in the early morning and late evening.
