This 3.5-hour hiking tour follows the “Path of the Glacier” trail though one of Jasper’s most stunning landscapes to the majesty of Mount Edith Cavell. You'll embark on one of the most spectacular adventures and this should not be missed by anyone visiting Jasper National Park!On this hike, you will experience the majesty of Mount Edith Cavell towering over a mile above you. You may even see icebergs calve off the Angel Glacier and cascade into Cavell Pond. Your guide will transport you to and from the Jasper town-site and along the path of the glacier, while providing an enlightening interpretation of the local ecology, geology, and history. The walk usually takes 1.5 hours to complete. It is 1.6 km (1 mile) in length and gains 170 feet of elevation over half of this distance. Most people find this walk to be of little to moderate difficulty to achieve.
This tour lasts approximately 3.5 hours. Please ensure you have water, closed toe footwear, and a jacket. This tour is operational for a relatively short period of the year due to seasonal closures of the road by Parks Canada. The road is typically open between the second week of June through the end of October.
