Located in Blairgowrie on Victoria's spectacular Mornington Peninsula your open water session will be held from the shoreline at Blairgowrie in Port Phillip Bay, one of Melbourne's best kept underwater secrets. Blairgowrie is located an easy less than 90 minute self-drive from Melbourne's CBD.
The water is your domain, the waves your power and sometimes your biggest threat. You're a boardrider or bodysurfer, so that doesn't stop you. Maybe you're slightly off your game after a moment in the surf and you've lost your confidence.
If you want to rewire yourself, to be calm, to relax and re-emerge at the surface having avoided panic, confident to take the next wave or simply develop your surfing skills, this is the perfect workshop for you.
This breathing for surfers course will help you develop both your breathing and surfing skills. No matter what level of surfer you are, no matter what waves you surf - you will benefit from learning how to improve your breath-hold and your surf survival.
Session 1: (Theory Session: 3 - 3.5hrs duration)
Launch into theory! Today you’ll be introduced to your fellow surf mates and be hit with a mixture of theory, breathing awareness and practice drills.
Session 2: (Pool/Open Water Practical Session: 3 - 3.5hrs)
It’s time to hit the water. In this session you'll perform a series of breathing drills and demonstrate your new surf survival skills in real time which you can apply straight away on your next surf.
