Take a 3-hour brewpub tour in the Montreal's Latin Quarter. You'll visit three craft breweries with a local guide and sample two beers at each spot, such as pilsners, hefeweizens, IPAs or stouts. See local sights like the Quebec Grand Library and St-Louis Square and enjoy a delectable French-Canadian snack of melted brie with maple syrup.Montreal is often voted one of the best cities in the world for craft beer, so find out what all the fuss is about on this brewery tour. With a knowledgeable local guide, take a walking tour around the Latin Quarter, making your way to three craft breweries for tastings of two different beers at each location.

You’ll sample such European-style brews as Czech pilsners, Belgian tripels and German wheats, and learn about the brewing processes and proper beer-tasting method. Plus, enjoy strolling through the charming Latin Quarter.

Meet your tour guide and group in Montreal’s Latin Quarter (Quartier Latin) in the borough of Ville-Marie. The starting point for your brewery tour is L'amère à Boire, an artisanal brewpub that produces European-inspired ales and lagers.

Take a seat for your tasting of two Czech-style pilsners, and learn about the process of brewing craft beers. You’ll also learn how to sample your beer using the classic method of looking, smelling and then tasting to get the full beer-tasting experience.

Next, continue just down the street to your second stop, Le St Bock, a microbrasserie (‘brasserie’ means brewery in French) where you’ll sit down to a tasting of two beers accompanied by a delicious snack of melted brie cheese with pecans and maple syrup. The beer varies each day, but you may sample a Belgian-style IPA, a brown ale or a stout.

When you’re finished here, head to your last stop, Benelux, a lively brewpub where you’ll enjoy tastings of two craft beers. Brews on tap vary by day, but you may sample a Belgian-style amber ale or a double IPA.

During your walk between brewpubs, cross over into Montreal’s popular Le Plateau-Mont-Royal borough, and pass by city sights like the Grande Bibliothèque du Québec (Quebec Grand Library), St-Louis Square (created in the 1870s) and one of the city’s ruelle vertes (green alleys), part of a city project to create more green space in urban areas.

Your brewery tour ends at Benelux, putting you in the perfect spot to continue your exploration of Montreal’s Latin Quarter on your own. Total walking distance is 1.3 miles (2 km). The total amount of beer consumed adds up to just more than two pints.
