Pickup and drop-off from most Montego Bay hotels are included. After hotel pickup in Montego Bay, travel southwest for about 30 minutes to Lethe Estates, a private gated community in the mountains along the Great River.
During your orientation, expert professionals explain the layout of the course and demonstrate equipment on an actual zipline 5 feet (1.5 meters) off the ground. All of your ziplines will end with a gentle landing, as the equipment is engineered to be gravity-fed instead of using a glove-braking system. Double steel cables traverse through double steel pulley systems, the maintenance of which meet the strict standards established by the Association for Challenge Course Technology.
After the briefing, climb aboard a 6WD troop transport vehicle and enjoy a jaw-jarring off-road ride past banana trees up to the top of the course. Don a helmet and then head to the platform for your first zipline, 250 feet (76 meters) long, low to the ground. Climb up, clip on and leap off!
Cross a 250-feet (76-meter) long jungle bridge as you make your way through four more aerial runways, increasing in length and height, gliding up to 40 miles (64 km) per hour. Guides are present throughout the course to assist as needed.
Keep your eyes open as gravity speeds you across the tree canopy cover, and whoosh past coconut trees, listening for chirping birds. Capture views of sloping hills, farmland and the gurgling Great River. Pat yourself on the back after conquering Big Timba, the final zipline stretching 1,600 feet in length (488 meters).
Your adventure includes a visit to Lethe Estates’ botanical gardens, where you’ll sip a glass of fresh coconut or pineapple juice, or taste sugar cane, all grown on-site. During your remaining time, meander through the lush gardens that also produce coffee and ginger, or relax in The Green, the welcome area with a snack bar, until it’s time to be taken back to your hotel.
