The Buddhist monk blessing is a ceremony that local people usually do to cleanse themselves of bad elements and request the aid of Buddha. The monk blesses you by chanting and pouring water. This blessing helps you to cleanse your karma and create happiness, prosperity and good luck.

The Buddhist monk blessing is a ceremony that local people usually do to cleanse themselves of bad elements and request the aid of Buddha. The monk blesses you by chanting and pouring water. This blessing helps you to cleanse your karma and create happiness, prosperity and good luck. The monk blessing takes place at the pagoda. Before the ceremony starts you can change your clothes because they will get wet because of pouring the holy water. You will be given a sarong to wear. During the ceremony the words of Buddha come to you through the monk. This will calm and relax you. The ritual takes around 15 minutes. Afterwards you have enough time to relax some more and do an offering in the pagoda if you like.
