When your cruise ship docks at the Monaco port, meet your guide at the cruise terminal. Board an 8-person luxury minivan and sit back as you begin your full-day shore excursion to three lovely Provençal villages and Nice, the star of the French Riviera.
Head an hour southwest to the town of Grasse, known as the world's perfume capital and the leader in French fragrances. Scents of jasmine, orange blossom and mimosa from the surrounding countryside pervade Grasse’s cobblestone streets. Take a tour of the famous Fragonard perfumery, named after the famous Grasse-born painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard, to learn about the exquisite art of French perfume making.
Back on the road, head to the quaint medieval village of Valbonne, filled with picturesque alleys, artisan shops and inviting cafés. Enjoy free time to explore and have lunch in Old Town (own expense).
Continue with a scenic drive northeast along the Loup River. Arrive in the cliff-clinging village of Gourdon, dubbed the 'Eagle's Nest,’ and admire magnificent 360-degree views of the French Riviera from the perfect lookout point.
Finally, head to the dazzling Côte d’Azur to visit Nice, a buzzing seaside resort destination. Make your way up to Château de Crémat, a hilltop winery overlooking the city. Enjoy a wine tasting with a professional sommelier, and learn about winemaking in the French Riviera while sipping on a selection of wines from the local Bellet wine appellation.
Then, travel back along the Middle Corniche, a beautiful Mediterranean coastal road that connects Nice to Monaco, and arrive back at the port in the evening.
