Going behind the shrine to the Momijidani, you will be guaranteed to see the colourful foliage in autumn.

Cruise right from the ferry terminal to the center of Miyajima's charming townhouse street and old-fashioned shopping arcade. Continuing on the path along the waterfront, you will have a great view on the large, orange torii in the water, in front of the Itsukushima Shrine. After viewing other temples, you will head to Momijidani, where you will be guaranteed to see the splendid, colorful foliage in autumn.

This will guide you along the most scenic spots and streets of Miyajima. Starting with the townhouse street, followed by the water front view overlooking the bay with its huge, orange torii and the Itsukushima Shrine, then a valley with beautiful foliage in the fall. After leaving the crowded tourist area for a quiet, secluded temple at the bottom of the mountain, you will return to the ferry terminal by passing through the oldest part of town with stone walls.
