After pickup from your hotel, start your coach tour by taking in two important sites of the sports-loving city: Melbourne Cricket Ground and the National Tennis Centre in Melbourne Park.

Continue to the Domain Parklands area which includes the Royal Botanic Gardens. Established in 1846 along the south bank of the Yarra River, the gardens are one of the world’s best examples of Victorian-era landscaping. Next door is Kings Domain, which contains the Shrine of Remembrance, initially created to memorialize the many soldiers who died in the First World War; now it includes subsequent wars.

Next, pass by the Arts Centre Melbourne, a complex of theaters and concert halls featuring a variety of top-notch performers. Then drive to the Docklands, an area along Victoria Harbour that has recently evolved into a vibrant mix of residences, restaurants, shops and public space. See Etihad Stadium, headquarters for the Australian Football League and also host to cricket, soccer and rugby matches. Then cross Bolte Bridge to take in spectacular views of the city and Port of Melbourne.

Motor southeast to the cosmopolitan suburb of St Kilda where you can purchase an afternoon tea or coffee in one of many delicious patisseries along Acland Street, then visit Fitzroy Street’s vibrant mix of funky bars, restaurants and shops.

Continue driving a little further to the fashionable suburbs of Elwood and Brighton. Stop for a photo op at the colorful Brighton bathing boxes, used by generations of beachgoers.

On your way back to central Melbourne pass by Albert Park, where the Australian Grand Prix is held annually. Your tour ends when you are returned to your hotel in the early evening.
