Your guide will meet you at your hotel. We head South to the river town of Cai Be. Arriving at around 10 AM, board the boat to journey through Cai Be’s floating market. Here, you will see how life functions on the delta, as we view the intricacies of commerce – how merchants purchase products from farmers. We continue our journey down this vast stretch of the Mekong before cruising to other islands where we will start biking.
Go cycling about 12km under the green canopy, explore the orchards and daily life of farmers. These islands include 4 communes : Dong Phu, Hoa Ninh, An Binh and Binh Hoa Phuoc, great cycling route through these communes, see different kinds of fruit trees.
Partake of seasonal fruits (such as longan, pineapple, watermelon, rambutan, papaya, jackfruit etc…) and lunch break.
We will then return to Cai Be by boat, and mount our bikes to enjoy pastoral scenery en route to Cai May Church, and onto Hoa Khanh tiny village road to visit a brick kiln factory, continued cycling to Cai Be Catholic Church ( built in 1929-1932) famous with its unique steeple atop, visiting a coconut candy factory, a puffed rice factory. Take the opportunity to shop the popular coconut oil massage soap for a souvenir before our bus picks us up and drives back to Saigon. End of tour.
