Your driver will meet you at your hotel and head north to your first stop. You will stop at a little town called Pueblito Paisa, a cozy replicate of a typical Colombian village sitting in the center of the city which allows you to share outstanding panoramic views of the Medellin valley. There will be free time to walk around and take photos or grab snacks. After a guided visit, your local guide will wait for you to go on to the next stop downtown to visit barefoot park, the park of lights and the infamous Fernando Botero Plaza where 23 amazing statues of the most popular local artists reside.
During the afternoon, you will visit Medellin’s most significant icons which constitute the government’s patrimony like the old railroad station, Carre Building, the Basilica and Saint Ignacious of Loyola Church among others. The next stop takes place at a government center where the first important buildings were built such as the Carre building and the train station.
Next the tour heads into downtown for a look at San Ignacious chapel and its majestic architecture. Continue to the oldest cathedral in Medellin which took almost 40 years for completion and a great way to understand the early days of the city.
After having discovered this fascinating gem of architecture, the tour heads to the marvelous San Pedro cemetery museum. Another great piece of heritage that holds mausoleums for the wealthiest families in the city including former presidents, writers, and celebrities.
