After your pick up at your hotel in Granada the tour starts with a cultural visit to the handcrafts market in the city of Masaya. Here you can find beautiful pieces of Nicaraguan art from all parts of the country and buy some souvenirs like pottery, hammocks, paintings, leather and wood crafts, as well as the renowned Nicaraguan coffee, rum and cigars. Later you will continue to the most interesting site that you will be in your entire life, visiting Masaya Volcano National Park to see the red lava in the bottom of the crater.
Once you arrive, you’ll visit the information center to learn about the important historic facts that took place in this volcano and about its formation then we go up to the crater to see the great natural spectacle of the lava lake inside the crater, see the bright red of the lava lighting all around the crater, smell the sulfuric gases and be as closest as you could be of one of the most active volcanoes in the world. For security reasons you will be permitted to be only for a few minutes, but enough to bring the best of your travel memories back home. This is a must for everyone!
