Explore beautiful Waiheke Island on a fully guided 3-hour walking tour that includes wine tasting. Enjoy a gentle and spectacular walk in the company of an authentic and Professional Maori Guide who shares the Maori stories of the Island.Your tour will begin at Matiatia ferry terminal at 10:45am. You will be met by your Maori guide inside the ferry terminal, whom will be waiting for you at the large desk on the right hand side as you enter the terminal from the ferry.
We will begin with a gentle, yet incredibly scenic, walk along the beach then up through a regenerating native forest. You can soak in the wonderful atmosphere at a gentle pace. The walk continues around the headlands with views to the north, west, and south of the island. This will take approximately 2 hours at an easy pace with time for photos and hearing the Island's Maori stories from expert, authentic Maori Guides.
Upon arriving at the vineyard, adults can indulge in wine tasting, while children may enjoy some juice, water, or soda (included in cost). You will have time to relax and take in the scenery surrounding you before making your way back to the ferry terminal at approximately 1:45pm, in time to catch the 2:00pm ferry back to Auckland.
You may also choose to end your tour at the vineyard so you can stay and enjoy lunch there. You will be provided with clear instructions on how to return to the ferry terminal, an easy 20-minute downhill stroll.
