Take a fully guided bicycle ride exploring stunning Waiheke Island. Your professional and local Maori guide enhances the beautiful landscape with the Maori history of the island. It's an authentic experience loved by all participants. Nau mai, haere mai (Welcome)!You'll be met at Matiatia Ferry Terminal on Waiheke Island by your guide. Please ensure to take the 10:00am Ferry to Matiatia from Downtown Auckland in order to take this tour. Your tour begins at 10:45am from the Terminal. You'll be given your bicycle, safety equipment and instructions.
Your Maori led tour is a great way to explore the Island. Your tour will last approximately 3 hours in duration which includes the 1.5 hours of actual bike riding on our comfortable bikes. You'll cruise by the island's only Marae (Maori community gathering place), beautiful beaches and you'll also be able to indulge in just a little wine tasting at an award winning vineyard.
You'll ride through delightful Oneroa villages before returning to Matiatia ferry terminal. Alternatively, you may wish to end your tour in Oneroa village and stay for lunch (at your own expense) or an extended beach visit.
