Boomerang shaped Manukan is the second largest Island of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park which has good stretches of beaches on the southern coastline. Manukan is the most beautiful, most visited and most recommended of the 5 islands.
On this Island you can enjoy the sunlight, beautiful breaches, fun beach activities such as beach volleyball, parasailing and more!
You can also enjoy snorkeling. The best site to snorkel is among the corals the darker color of the sea means there's a coral bed below the water. It is advised that you swim away from the boat pier and pillar.
There is a 1500m track that extends throughout the island, eventually reaching the sunrise point. It is an absolutely stunning walk, and a must-do when visiting Manukan. The track can be quite steep at time, but it is fully paved the whole way.

During the boat ride you’ll be able to see Manukan Island appear and grow as you get closer. You’ll be able to spot the sandy beaches surrounded by crystal clear waters that are perfect for swimming and snorkeling.
Upon arrival, you’ll be able to spend a few hours on the beach basking in the sun or playing a fun game of beach volleyball.
After spending a few hours on the beaches of Manukan, you’ll be taken to enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch served buffet-style directly on the Island’s beach.
Spend the rest of the day snorkeling around the Island. Manukan Island is known as one of the best snorkeling areas in the vicinity.
At approximately 3pm, board the boat once more and begin the short journey back to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu.
