A comfortable air conditioned bus will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel at the established pick up time. You will travel for approximately one hour and 20 minutes passing through spectacular Caribbean scenes and landscapes. You will also pass through typical fishing villages located at the heart of the eastern coast of the island. You will reach a small fishing village and embark in the catamaran.
You will take a short 10-minute catamaran cruise to the mangrove system. When you reach the mangroves you will embark in your own kayak and paddle through one of the most amazing ecosystems nature has to offer- the mangroves. You may get to see pelicans, crabs and other species that live in this ecosystem. Take in the tranquility, serenity and enchantment of the mangroves. Afterwards you will come back to the catamaran and enjoy a 30-minute ride through another wonderful and unique Caribbean experience where the ocean meets the mangroves. Enjoy the ride, relax and sip a drink of rum and soda!
Then you will be off to Cayo Levantado! Enjoy a 30-minute boat ride in the catamaran and take in the changing ocean blues, breezes, coastal landscapes and Samana Bay views. The views and experience are simply amazing! You will then reach Cayo Levantado, the largest key in the Dominican Republic.
At Cayo Levantado, you will be greeted by the staff who will be happy to escort you to your private area in the beach reserved exclusively for guests on the tour. A waiter will be a few steps away more than happy to serve you the beverage of your choice that includes rum, soda, beer and water. Relax, enjoy your beverage, take in the sun and bathe in this crystal clear waters.
At approximately 1pm the staff will invite you to the restaurant. The restaurant is the only restaurant in all Samana and the only excursion restaurant with a Cristal Certification for excellent hygiene and food procedures. If you wish, you can take a shower and wash off the salt water in the installations before lunch. During lunch you will be served a varied menu that includes grilled fish, grilled chicken, rice, pasta salad, green salad, tropical fruits, gelatin and coffee.
After lunch you can return to your chaise lounge at the beach and take in another one or two hours of relaxation, beverages, sun and crystal clear waters. At approximately 3:30pm we will embark and return to Punta Cana. You can expect to be back at your hotel at approximately 5:30pm to 6pm.
