Start in the morning, head out in the afternoon or take in a beautiful Floridian sunset -- any of these times are perfect to discover Manatee pocket on this 1.5-hour SUP tour in Stuart, Florida. After checking in at the launch site, you'll go over the basics of stand-up paddle boarding and then head out with your guide through beautiful mangroves.
Named Manatee Pocket for a reason, it is common to see anywhere from 2 - 10 manatees during your tour. Manatees can still be around at other times during the year, but it is not as common to see them during March to November. Your guide will be on the lookout for the dolphins and sea turtles that reside in the Indian River Lagoon while pointing out a variety of fish and birds. The Manatee Pocket is a busy eco-center but at the same time peaceful.
There is a no wake zone the entire length of the waterway, which makes it an awesome place to paddle. Your guide will also take complimentary photos for you. Your tour ends where it begins near three waterfront restaurants that you can get a great meal at after you have paddled up an appetite.
