Mackerel Fishing Trip in Amble

Join onboard to enjoy the great outdoor on a mackerel trip up in Northumberland! The trips normally leave Amble Harbour at around 4pm lasting approx two hours. Held hand lines are supplied along with a weight and feathers. Times may vary due to tide and weather, so please check with the local provider prior to departure.The boat leaves Amble Harbour on a short journey out to sea taking approximately 10 minutes. There will be an orientation on the use of fishing hand lines if you are not familiar with them.

You will then head off in the search for Mackerel, sailing for about another 10 minutes in search of a potential good fishing spot. You will then stop and begin fishing for mackerel. If no one is lucky to have made a catch, you will then move on to another spot. The trip as a whole takes approximately 2 hours.

The fish you catch can be kept or thrown back, the choice is yours. Bags are supplied to take your fish home, if required.
