In the morning, you will meet your driver at your hotel in Cusco and be taken to the train station, where you will board the train for a wonderful hour and a half scenic ride to Aguas Calientes.
Once in Aguas Calientes, your guide will take you on a guided tour of the ruins of Machu Picchu, ‘The Lost City of the Incas.’ You will learn about the important and inspiring history of this sacred Inca site and visit the temples of the Sun and the Condor. You'll also get to see the aqueducts and houses, while learning some interesting facts about the Sacred Inca Terraces.
After your tour, you will have some free time to explore this site on your own. There are many short trek options, such as a the one to the Sun Gate for an impressive view of Machu Picchu or a visit to the Incan Bridge, a secret entrance for the Incan Army.You will then return back to AguasCalientes to take the train to Cusco. Once you have arrived to Cusco, you will be transferred to your hotel.
