Your one day tour takes place in the heart of a private reserve of over 250 hectares which offers visitors the opportunity to discover the natural wonders of the Maya World while also learning about the richness of this ancient culture.
Your tour begins as you reach the 7 Cenotes ranch. You'll be welcomed by a friendly staff and enjoy a buffet breakfast including coffee, tea and purified water. You will then receive some information from your guide about the geological formation of cenotes and get all the necessary equipment to start the adventure.
You'll start a walk into the forest for about 15 minutes to then bike for 5 minutes until you reach the open Cenote called "Mariposa Azul." Here, you'll be able to swim, snorkel and kayak and even dare to take a 9-meter jump into the waters of this great sinkhole. Your tour continues as you either walk for 10 minutes or ride a bicycle for 3 minutes towards the semi open Cenote "Truck". Here you will also have a chance to swim, snorkel and even submerge in the underground cave. You'll continue on your bicycle to the open Cenote "Arco Iris".
In here, you can swim, jump and go snorkeling. Your adventure then takes you back to the main ranch by bike and here you'll enjoy lunch including appetizers, soup, a main course, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages. After lunch, you'll visit the sacred Maya tree, the Ceiba and learn a bit more about the Maya legends. Continue on to the closed Cenote "Virgen". Here, you'll get to swim in the dark, watch the cave (lights on), kayak and snorkel. You'll return to the ranch and enjoy some coffee or tea before heading back to Merida.
This tour includes insurance and an English speaking guide throughout the duration of the experience. If you want to add activities to the tour, such as rappel, massage, diving or a Maya ceremony, you can do so before the day of your tour.
