On this day trip to Lombok, you will be visiting two famous handicrafts villages - Banyumulek Village for pottery and Jangkuk village for wooden products. You will enjoy Narmada - The 17th century royal garden and the most famous Hindu temple - Batubolong. Lunch will be served in Senggigi, the major tourist beach in Lombok.Morning pick up from the hotel in Bali and transfer to the airport to catch the flight to Lombok (Own expense). Upon arrival at Praya airport, our representative will meet you and take you for the tour. First visit is Banyumulek Village, which is famous for its traditional pottery. Making pottery in the village is a job that has been done for ages. The village is decorated by a lot of potteries, showing that Banyumulek is a pottery center. Along the streets, many galleries can be found with various kind of pottery in different shapes, sizes and colors.
You can also see the making process. The craftsmen are able to produce beautiful products, only by using simple tools and clay. Next stop is Mandalika market, where you can find fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood or different aromatic spices. It is a perfect place to get localized. After the market you will visit Narmada, the Royal garden dated back in 17th Century. The park covers around two hectares and was used for full moon ceremonies as well as a resting place for the royal family during the dry season. Lunch will be served in Senggigi, the major tourist beach in Lombok.
After lunch it continues with a stop at Batubolong, Lombok’s most appealing Hindu temple where during clear weather you can witness the panorama of Mount Agung in Bali. Pass through the old harbor of Ampenan, to reach Mataram, the capital city of West Nusa Tenggara. Stop at the temple of Lingsar, a unique symbol that merges the Hindus and Moslems to live in harmony. After that you will visit Mayura, the water palace, which was also used as the meeting hall of the former Balinese kingdom. Afterward a short stop at Jangkuk village, famous for its wood and lontar leaves handicraft. Drive to airport to board for the flight to Bali, where our representative will meet you and take you back to the hotel.
