Our tour begins on Edinburgh’s most famous street, The Royal Mile. From here your driver-guide will give you an insight into Edinburgh’s interesting past. As we make our way towards Stirling you’ll hear Scotland’s greatest story of the true Braveheart . You’ll have ample time to explore one of the largest and most important castles in Scotland, Stirling Castle (own expense). You’ll get incredible views from the battlements to the Wallace Monument, the Scottish hero, over the southern Highlands and the Ochil Hills. Or if you prefer you can meander the historical streets of Stirling’s old town.
Next we’ll head to Scotland’s most romantic loch, Loch Lomond and on the way you’ll learn the inspiration for one of Scotland’s most famous and best loved songs. At Loch Lomond, part of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, you have the freedom to enjoy the views of the largest mass of fresh water in the UK on an optional cruise (own expense - from 1st November 2015) or enjoy a relaxed stroll on the tranquil shores.
Our final stop of the day is at Glengoyne Whisky Distillery, where you can taste the very spirit of Scotland. The expert guides here will take you through the lengthy process of creating Scotland’s national drink (own expense). You’ll have to chance to taste some too. A perfect end to a day experiencing Scotland!
