Here we stop for just under two hours, allowing you to take a tour of the castle (own expense) and its grounds and learn about its former residents such as Robert the Bruce, and Mary Queen of Scots. You will have stunning views of Stirlingshire throughout and you may be able to spot a monument to another Scottish hero, William Wallace.
After a tour of the castle, you will board the coach and head towards the town of Callander where there will be a stop for lunch and time to explore the surrounding area. From here we will make our way through The Trossachs National Park, where Rob Roy cavorted in his outlaw days, where you will see the ‘Highlands in Miniature’; an abundance of woodlands, lochs and wildlife.
Passing through the Trossachs you will emerge at Balloch, a small scottish village located next to Loch Lomond. Here you have a choice between taking a 1 hour cruise across this beautiful loch or instead explore the serene town of Luss on the banks of the Loch, providing an excellent opportunity for photos.
After enjoying the beauty of Loch Lomond, you willl return to Edinburgh's Royal Mile, where your day tour ends.
