Located within the UNESCO World Heritage site of Prague Castle, the privately owned palace is a fitting place for a chamber music concert with incredible artwork inside its baroque concert hall. Listen to the midday concert, with solo and ensemble performances of works by Bach, Beethoven, Dvořák, Smetana and more.Head inside the UNESCO-listed Prague Castle complex, and make your way to Lobkowicz Palace, a 16th-century stately home, owned by a family of aristocrats for some 400 years.
Head straight inside Lobkowicz Palace’s baroque concert hall, and take your seat for your daytime chamber music concert. A fitting location for an afternoon of classical music, the hall is known for its exquisite ceiling frescoes, painted by Czech artist Václav Fabián Harovník.
Listen to a varied program of music with solos and ensemble pieces from some of the world’s greatest baroque composers. Music by Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and Vivaldi all feature, alongside the works of esteemed Czech composers such as Dvořák and Smetana. Read on for the sample program.
