Understand the sculpture of the typical Lecce white chalky stone and taste a breakfast with the famous pastry "Pasticciotto" in a unique setting. If you are interested in sculpture and you want to discover more about the white chalky stone that is typical of Salento, this is the activity for you.
I use to combine it sometimes with wood and iron in order to create sculptures and everyday objects trough the traditional technique of the Salento’s masons.
You will have the chance to visit my lab, I will show you my creations and give you an introductory lesson to comprehend the typical Baroque from Lecce and get familiar with the material (Lecce chalky stone).
You will also attend a demonstration of baroque sculpture before having a breakfast in my garden, so that you can taste the authentic Pasticciotti from Galatina, an amazing and unique pastry!
The artisan lab is a special place, it is surrounded by a lush garden full of olive and citrus trees, typical of my amazing land.
Those who are interested in seeing the transformation of a humble stone into a sculpture and to know firsthand the Salento’ stone-carving are more than welcome.
