Day 1: Cairns
After being picked up from your Cairns hotel, your first day is all about getting prepared to enter the water. Complete your medical checks and paperwork on site at 8am, then begin the day’s classroom and video sessions. If you don’t pass the medical/swimming check, you’ll receive a full refund on Day 1. After a break for lunch, join in the afternoon’s pool training session, then be returned to your hotel.
Day 2: Cairns
On the second day of your PADI Open Water Diver course, there are more classroom and video sessions in the morning, including completion of a small exam. After the lunch break, refine your skills in the training pool.
Day 3: Cairns -- Great Barrier Reef (L)
Today takes you out to the Great Barrier Reef on board the cruise vessel known as Osprey V. Visit two great dive sites to carry out a series of training skills in the open water environment, and then put your training to the test by completing two dives. While out on the water, enjoy a barbecue lunch on board the boat.
Day 4: Cairns -- Great Barrier Reef (L)
On the fourth day of your dive course, return to the Great Barrier Reef dive sites aboard the Osprey V. On the completion of two dives, plus all the paperwork, your instructor will present you with your PADI Open Water scuba-diving license! Enjoy a barbecue lunch served on the boat, and in the evening celebrate your new diving status with dinner and drinks.
