  • Laser Skirmish at Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures

Sydney, Australia

Trip Type:   Nature & Wildlife
Duration:  3 hours
Laser skirmish is an adrenalin-fuelled, team combat simulation played outdoors. Laser skirmish is an outdoors equivalent of laser tag, which is generally played indoors. It's a lot like a live computer game and players shoot guns with an invisible and harmless infrared beam, with a sensor detecting hits. Set on 3,000 acres of unspoilt wilderness, Glenworth Valley is just one hour north of Sydney's central business district.

Unlike paintball, there's no mess or nasty bruises with laser skirmish. This is about as realistic as it gets outside the military and a whole lot of fun for anyone. Laser skirmish is a game of tactics, with communication and teamwork playing an important part of the game.

Our guides provide all instruction and equipment required and supervise play throughout your session. The group is split into two teams and are dressed in camouflage uniforms before the mission briefing.

Teams start apart and out of visual contact with each other, so players need to find the opposition before engaging with them. Equipped with a range of laser skirmish weapons, it is up to you to determine the strategy you will use as you encounter the enemy.

The weapons used are realistic in shape and weight. They use infra-red technology which is detected by sensors on the player?s head and gun. Each player's sensors are attached to their gun so when they are hit, their gun is automatically deactivated. The guns are accurate even at long range, and some include telescopic sights for long range sniping.

Players must be a minimum of 7 years old and all children under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. Laser Skirmish is suitable for all abilities and fitness levels. Please note that a minimum of 8 participants is required for a session to proceed. If your group is below this size we are normally still able to operate by combining a number of suitable smaller groups into the session.
