Dress warmly and make your own way to the tour starting point in central Tromsø. Meet your friendly guide, and depending on local knowledge of the whales' locations, board a boat at Tromsø harbor or take a 30- or 45-minute coach journey to a fjord-side port on one of the beautiful islands around Tromsø.
As you travel, admire the mirror-like fjords and hear illuminating facts about the whales that feed here in winter, including orcas and humpback whales.
On arrival, put on your supplied all-weather suit and board your boat. Then, settle into the warm inside cabin or stay on deck as you cruise out over the icy waters and along the indented shores of the islands and fjords.
