Meet your driver early morning at your Villahermosa hotel and head to Palenque city to make a stop and have a delicious breakfast. Then set off on the scenic 2.5-hour journey to the Lacandon Jungle in Lacanja Chansayab Community.
On arrival at the Lacanjá River, climb aboard a raft and start a journey through the atmospheric and dense jungle. Float over calm waters and then feel some adrenaline as you approach the intermediate rapids in the river. Enjoy a 3.3-hour tour here to the heart of the forest.
Disembark your raft once you get tu the Lacandon Jungle and start a great 2-hour hike through the vegetation. Hear some monkeys and wild birds and admire wonderful flora. Reach the Mayan monument of Lacanya, a city abandoned and stranded in the midst of the jungle and then have a chance to interact with natives of Lacanjá Chansayab, a traditional Mayan village in which old customs.
Continue to Moctuniha Waterfall and have a great swim here before you return to your hotel in Villahermosa.
