Choose between four options and either travel by coach, scenic railway or the skyrail cable car towards the incredible Kuranda village.After your hotel pickup from your local Cairns hotel, travel towards the incredible village of Kuranda. Your knowledgeable local guide will provide you with entertaining interpretations along the way as well as a historical background on the area and points of interest along the way.
Once you are close to Kuranda, your tour guide will stop and depending on your choice, you either have the option to travel to and from the top of Kuranda by coach or if you’d like to immerse yourself further in the World Heritage-listed rainforest, choose one of the upgrades and travel by scenic railway and skyrail cable car.
Upon arriving in Kuranda, enjoy free time to explore the stunning village home to incredible markets, shops and walking trails. Depending on the time of year, you can also take a river cruise along the water (own expense).
For lunch, grab a bite to eat from one of the local food stalls and cafes or dine at Frog’s Restaurant, famous for their freshly made sauces, dressings and resident water dragons (own expense).
You can also purchase a wildlife attraction pass which provides access to Koala Gardens, the Butterfly Sanctuary and Birdworld upon arrival to Kuranda Village (own expense).
If you’re feeling adventurous, end your day with an ATV buggy experience through the dense jungle and tropical fruit orchards surrounding the Barron Falls. This incredible experience can be organized on your day of travel and is payable direct.
