Kunjapuri Temple Sunrise Trek

Kunjapuri Temple Sunrise Trek is half day excursion tour. Kunjapuri Temple is located 28 kms far from Rishikesh at the altitude of 1650 meters. You will be picked up from Rishikesh by our car at early morning. The drive is approx 1 hour. The Temple is dedicated to Goddess Shakti and considered very auspicious temple in local area. From the top you can see beautiful panoramic views of Himalaya. Behind the temple you can see the mountain range of Himalaya while from the front side you can view Rishikesh and Holy River Ganga. After the Sunrise view you will trek down (Total 9 kms trek). During the trek you will see mountains, village, local homes, farms etc. The Trek ends near Neer Gaddu waterfall. At the end you will be picked up by our car and will be dropped at your hotel in Rishikesh. The tour normally starts at 4 or 5 am in morning will normally end at 11 or 12.Our Guide will meet you at your hotel. Pick up time is 5 am (Oct to Mar) & 4 am (April to Oct). Later you will transfer to Kunjapuri Temple by car. Temple is approx 28 kms far up in the himalaya and it will take approx 1 hour to reach temple. Once you reach the temple you need to climb up 250 steps to reach temple. There is small shop where you can have light breakfast with tea / coffee. Later visit the temple and wait for the sunrise. Enjoy panoramic views of Himalayas and Rishikesh. In winter season you can also see snow clad mountains. The views depend on weather. Some winter days have more fog so it can decrease the visibility. After the sunrise start your trek. The total trek is 9 kms but it is down trek. You must have comfortable shoes. Due to little tough trek it is not ideal choice for old age people. During the trek you can see the mountains, village, farms, houses etc. Near the end of trek you will see Neer Gaddu Waterfall. If you want to take bath you can carry changing cloths & towel. At the end of the trek our vehicle will again pick up you and take you to your hotel. Pick up and drop to your hotel is included in the cost but in some areas you need to walk a little. In case your hotel is outside Rishikesh than it can cost you little extra. Kindly mention hotel / ashram name at the time of booking so we will give you further instructions.
