You will try also dry-cured ham (Karst prosciutto) that melts in your mouth followed by a 30 minute guided tour of typical Karst village Štanjel and the Ferrari Gardens. You will try also dry-cured ham (Karst prosciutto) that melts in your mouth followed by a 30 minute guided tour of typical Karst village Štanjel and the Ferrari Gardens. You will have a great opportunity to buy local wine, wine liqueur, olive oil, dry-cured ham (prosciutto) directly from the locals.Pick up is in front of your hotel at either around 8.30am or 1.30pm, followed by an approx. 50 minutes drive to the village Tomaj where you will visit the first wine cellar together with wine tasting and some food tasting.
Then taking you to several picturesque traditional villages built from stone (Štanjel, Komen, Šepulje, Dobravlje), the trip gives you an insight into the rich history of the area while allowing you to experience the genuine hospitality of the locals and taste the culinary specialties of this unique region.
Then you will visit another wine cellar with wine tasting and olive oil tasting.
At the end you will visit typical local restaurant and try the local delicacies.
