Meet your guide in the heart of Krakow Old Town, and stroll to your first stop: the Church of St Anne, an ornate structure modeled after the famed church of Sant’ Andrea della Valle in Rome.
After learning about St Anne's history, cross Rynek Główny to the towering St Mary’s Basilica. The gem inside this basilica is the altarpiece. Carved by German sculptor Veit Stoss in the late 15th century, it’s the tallest Gothic altarpiece in the world.
Continue to the Church of St Adalbert (aka the Church of St Wojciech), one of the oldest churches in Krakow Old Town, before visiting the 13th-century Church of St Francis of Assisi, home to an official replica of the Shroud of Turin.
The Bishop’s Palace is next up, so have your camera ready to capture snaps of the so-called “papal window” where Pope John Paul II addressed his followers when in Krakow.
After walking down the oldest street in the city, step into the Church of Saints Peter and Paul and learn about a group of nuns, known as the Poor Clare Sisters, who live in the nearby convent.
Finish the tour with a visit to Wawel Royal Castle, once home to some of Poland’s most important historical figures. Travel to the area by tram and visit Wawel Cathedral on the castle grounds. Learn the stories and secrets of the castle’s past and make your way up to the cathedral’s Sigismund Bell.
After three hours, return to the start point where your tour ends.
