A houseboat cruise on these backwaters will be a very delightful and unique experience for you!Alappuzha (Alleppey) is a landmark between the broad Arabian Sea and the web of rivers flowing into it. It is a town in the Alappuzha District in the southern Indian state of Kerala. Lord Curzon, the Viceroy of the Indian Empire, made a visit to Alappuzha in the early 20th century fascinated by the scenic beauty of the place and said “here nature has spent up on the land her richest bounties”.
Day 1:
At 10:30am, you will be picked up from your hotel or from Kochi Port (please refer to Departure Point for details). You will be transferred to Alappuzha and upon arrival and check-in, a motor boat will transfer you to board the houseboat around 12pm. The houseboat will begin slowly cruising through the backwaters and village area of Alappuzha, passing paddy fields and coconut palms. Main meals will be served on board. Stay overnight on the houseboat.
Day 2:
The cruise will finish after breakfast at 9am. You will then transfer back to Kochi Port our your hotel for arrival around 11am.
